If you're close to a radio station that broadcasts in both AM and FM, you can put 2 filters together in-series to filter them both out, or use our NEW Combo AM/FM Filters.
Our customer's have reported success in filtering out AM radio interference from 10-BaseT Ethernet networks. We have two pair and four pair (for Gigabit or POE) Ethernet Filters.
Normally, either the handset cord or the line cord (or building wiring) is what's acting like the antenna. The quickest way to determine if the RF is coming in via the handset cord is to bunch up the cord so that it's real short, or stretch it out so it's real long. If the RF changes, it's probably coming in through the handset cord.
Ethernet RJ-45 4 Pair Modular: Filters 4 Pairs used for Gigabit Ethernet and POE Ethernet (Covers 4 Pairs)
This Filter also works for RJ-45 connections on T1 Lines, and 4 Pair Merlin Phones

AM RF FILTER JACK - 1 Pair

AM RF Filter in a Surface Mount Jack - 1 Pair
1 Pair Surface Mount Ivory Jack with an AM RF Filter built-in.
Screw Terminals make it easy to connect multiple cables to this one jack.
The phone line goes on the T & R screw terminals, and the phones go on T1 and R1 screw terminals.
One additional set of screw terminals is provided to allow termination of the second pair (White/Orange or Black/Yellow), but be aware that it's not a good idea to have an unfiltered pair - which can act like an antenna and defeat the purpose of the RF Filter on the first line (the RF gets induced back onto the first pair by the unfiltered pair).
This is bigger than a standard biscuit jack: 4.25 inches long, 2 inches high, and 1 inch deep. Base has holes for mounting with screws (no double stick tape).
For indoor use. Not weatherproof.

2 Pair Ethernet RF Filter
Place a Filter at one or both ends of an Ethernet cable.
It notches out the specific frequency band so the NIC Card or Hub/Switch can't demodulate the signal that's coming in on the cable (which is acting like an antenna).
Male to Female RJ-45. It only passes pairs 2 and 3 (the White/Orange and White/Green Pairs, on pins 1-2 and 3-6). The other two pairs, which are not used for regular 10 or 100Base-T, do not pass through the Filter.
For Gigabit Ethernet and POE (Power Over Ethernet) use our 4 Pair RJ-45 RF Filters (below).
Works with POE (Power over Ethernet).
Ethernet RF Filter has two RJ-45 Jacks, and comes with a 1 Foot Patch Cord.

4 Pair RJ-45 RF Filter
Place a Filter at one or both ends of a 4 Pair modular cable.
It notches out the specific frequency band so the device with the RJ-45 connection can't demodulate the signal that's coming in on the cable (which is acting like an antenna).
Male to Female RJ-45. It passes all four pairs of an RJ-45. Works on Gigabit Ethernet (1000BaseT) and POE (Power Over Ethernet) devices.

10 INCH CONNECTOR SEALER

Moisture Proof Connections to use them Outdoors...
10 Inches of Connector Sealer
Wrap this 10" long by 1/2" wide strip of Connector Sealant
around an electronic device to moisture proof it!
Connector Sealer adheres to itself and other items. Forms around and seals odd-shaped and difficult connections. Wrap the item, then squish the Connector Sealer to mold it to a smooth surface, forcing air out.
Connector Sealer stays flexible for years, ensuring moisture-proof connections. It's even reusable in many cases!
You may need several strips of Connector Sealer for odd-shaped items like RF Filters.
Non-contaminating and non-conductive. Works from -30 to +180 degrees Fahrenheit.

Combo AM /FM Filters
If you don't know whether it's AM or FM, use the Combo AM / FM Filter!
US radio stations normally give their call sign between five minutes to the hour, and five minutes past the hour. If they don't give their frequency, you can look them up in the phone book and give them a call.
Keep in mind that some radio stations "simulcast" on both an AM and FM frequency. That means the same programming is broadcast on both frequency bands, so you won't know for sure whether the interference you're getting is from AM or FM. In that case, you'll have to try both filters to see which one helps, or use our AM / FM Combo Filter.
These Filters are a little more expensive than our regular single frequency band Filters, but they could save you a lot of time, and possibly one or more trips back to the customer.

8 Pin DIP Mount RF Filters
Convenient 8 Pin DIP Mount for OEM use
Use the World's Best RF Eliminator in your own product!
These are the same RF Filters we use in our finished product, available on an 8 pin DIP base so you can use them in your own project.
They're available in both one and two pair versions. The one pair version uses the center pair of the DIP, and the two pair version uses the two outside pins for the second pair. These would be extremely easy to design into your own product.
While it might seem trivial to design an RF Filter, it's not! Our team of RF Engineers spent hundreds of hours researching the perfect materials and design for an RF Filter.
It will work well on audio and data, as well as telephone applications. The filter will not affect the operation of digital or electronic telephones. Because it's a common mode filter, it will catch spikes that could effect the electronics in your product.
Each Filter is thoroughly tested after assembly.

6' Straight SHIELDED HANDSET CORD
6' Straight SHIELDED Handset Cord
This cord will eliminate the hum caused by Neon Signs that are near a phone.
Neon Signs are hip, so "hip" companies think nothing of putting neon tubing all around their office, showroom or reception area, along with fancy neon signs. While it's hip, it's not telephone friendly!
It takes very high voltage at low current to make the neon gas glow. The transformers that make the high voltage for neon signs use old crummy technology, which put out all kinds of low frequency EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) garbage.
A transformer expert I talked to said it's possible to make a clean neon transformer, but nobody wants to spend the money to do it. The transformer manufacturers I tried to talk to wouldn't even return my phone call.
It turns out that the microphone circuit in most modern telephones has a powerful amplifier that's susceptible to this low frequency interference (harmonics of 60 hertz). Older telephones used a carbon mic, which didn't need the powerful amplifier, so didn't have a problem with neon signs. There are no electronic phones manufactured today that use carbon transmitters (but you can use an old single line 2500 set, or old multi-line 1A2 set).
The shield is a sophisticated braided material that gives almost 100% shielding, while remaining incredibly flexible.
This cord is not coiled, and doesn't extend like a regular handset cord. It's straight.
Not all customers will accept using this cord on a daily basis. Humans are just used to coiled cords. By the way, coiled handset cords became popular in the 1940s (for an extra monthly charge), which is a question often asked after people see the Roswell alien movie (the phone on the wall could have had a coiled cord in 1947).
This cord is not perfectly smooth. It's made of a conductive braided material, so someone wearing fancy cashmere sweaters, silk, or otherwise expensive fancy material may not be happy with it.
On the telephone end of the cord, there is a 6' flexible white wire attached to the shield at the modular plug, which is terminated in a small ring terminal. It's absolutely necessary to ground the shield! The easiest way to do this is to extend the white wire down to an AC outlet, and put the ring terminal on the metal screw that holds the outlet cover to the outlet.
NOTE: We've had some customers report that grounding, or building a shielded/grounded box around a neon transformer, will sometimes eliminate the neon EMI.

existing products, our plastic enclosures, and short run manufacturing experience to help you get
your product made quickly.
It may take us as little as a
day to engineer a way to solve a strange problem, and only a short time to
put it into production... even in small quantities.
CAPACITORS FOR FIXING RF PROBLEMS
They must be used in pairs, one on the tip to ground, and one on the ring to ground.
These will work well for lower frequencies like AM, but will have little or no effect on FM. Using capacitors to drain the RF to ground can cause other problems on the line, because of increased capacitance.
