Slip the stock Holster into our Cordura Case...
The safest way to carry your expensive Cell Phone!
- The stock Holster will help protect the display on your RIM or Treo Cell Phone
- Your RIM phone will go on standby when it's in the case, since you still have the magnet in the stock Holster
- On the stock RIM Holster, heat the front edges up with a lighter, and bend them out a little with a pliers to allow the phone to slip in and out of the Pouch easily
- On the stock Treo 600 / 650 Leather Holster, which for some insane reason doesn't come with a belt-clip (probably money), slip the Leather Holster into the Pouch. If it slides out too easily, simply loop some heavy thread with a needle through the bottom of the Leather Holster and the Cordura Pouch
I hated the Holster that came with my RIM Blackberry. The antenna on my Nextel model kept sticking me in the side, and I was afraid to rotate the Holster so it was sideways, in case it fell out of the Holster.
When I tried to get the Blackberry out of the stock Holster, it was really hard to get it out! I just pictured my expensive phone laying on the concrete.
A friend had already put his Treo's Leather Holster in our Cordura Pouch, so he didn't have to worry about his expensive phone while he was riding his Harley.
It only took me a few seconds to pop the Blackberry Holster into the #15 Cordura Case. I realized that it was really difficult to get out because of the little knobs on the Holster that stick into holes on the phone. I heated the front edge of the Holster up with a lighter, and bent the case forward a little where the knobs are. See the red circled areas on the picture above. If I need to, I can always bend them back to use the original Holster.
I feel my phone is so secure in its Pouch that I don't use the Velcro strap. I just tucked the strap into the Pouch before I put the stock Blackberry Holster in it. If I ever stand on my head, it'll be easy to un-tuck the strap and use it!
This is as safe as it gets!

The Quickest and Safest Way to carry your Motorola Bluetooth Headset!
- The stock Holster that comes with the Motorola Bluetooth Headset is a piece of garbage. It'll fall off your belt if you sneeze hard, and you'll lose the headset and the pouch (maybe that's the idea?)
- I destroyed my first Motorola Bluetooth Headset carrying it in my pocket. This is a much safer way to carry the Motorola Bluetooth Headset!

I've tried the Jabra Bluetooth Headset, which is bigger than the Motorola and works about the same - except for one big point... To turn the Jabra off, you have to push and hold one of the buttons. That turns it off, saves the battery, and lets you go back to using your phone without the headset. On the Motorola, it's as easy as simply flipping the mic closed, and the headset is off.

I only charge my Motorola Bluetooth Headset once every couple of days. As long as I turn it off, there is no battery draw - and I can go back to using my phone without a headset immediately.
Now if someone would just make a decent noise cancelling Bluetooth headset. Both the Jabra and Motorola headsets don't do much to cut down the noise in a car or truck. I don't know how they can, considering the mic is nowhere near your mouth!
