ELECTRONIC ENCLOSURES - PLASTIC BOXES
Why are we selling Plastic Boxes?
It's tough dealing with US electronic enclosure manufacturers!

We used to buy similar boxes here in the US, but we didn't get a warm feeling from US box manufacturers. If we wanted holes in the box, the machining made an expensive box painfully expensive, and the delivery times were outrageous. I think they thought they had us over a barrel?
Since many of the products we manufacture aren't consumer oriented, we usually can't make two thousand of a single item - even if they're cheap in that quantity.
The devices we manufacture are certainly needed, but they're impossible to manufacture in China due to high minimums - and the minimums are going up every year. Chinese factories want to set up a line and make as many as they can, before changing the line for the next product. I can't blame them! American manufacturers have to adapt to this reality.
Our type of manufacturing used to be called Guerilla Manufacturing, but these days it's called Short Run Manufacturing. We're making stuff in the quantities we need to, when we need to, as economically as possible. As long as we can find suppliers who are on the same page, we'll make money while satisfying our customers.

These are the boxes we use for our own products.
They're made right here in the USA!
Need to make holes or notches in boxes? Depending on the quantity needed, machining the openings with CNC machines is often the least cost effective way.
A local toolmaker charges us about $1,000 for a punch to make rectangular openings:

We paid for the punch in the first 2,000 boxes we ran, but more importantly we
do it ourselves without being tied to a CNC machine's schedule.
Round holes are easy with a drill, and a simple drill fixture:

You can also make a jig to drill holes, that fits inside the box
We don't make a living selling plastic boxes, but we do manufacture stuff every day. Call us and let us know your needs, and we'll see if our experience can help you bring your product to market. If your stuff will fit in one of these boxes, your life just got a lot simpler!
